The state of Uttar Pradesh had the highest number of candidates who participated in 2019
        general elections, contesting for 80 parliamentary constituencies of the state. Average number
        of constants per seat was 12 in the state. The union territory of Daman & Diu, and the state of
        Nagaland  had  the  lowest  number  of  contesting  candidates.  Both  the  parliamentary

        constituencies had four candidates each in 2019 general elections.
