A noteworthy feature to note here is that of the Hon’ble MP of Keonjhar, Chandrani Murmu;

who was the youngest MP to be elected in the 17 Lok Sabha, then 25-years old. Madam Murmu
who is an engineering graduate represents Keonjhar constituency of Odisha, which is reserved
for Scheduled Tribe (ST).
The constant growth of women leadership in Indian democracy is thus visible from the fact that
multiple women MPs who are making our democracy more vibrant by focusing on vital sectors
like healthcare, education, infrastructure and more. The active participation of women in the
leadership role through electoral process is a very encouraging trend which strengthens the
democratic foundations of India.
