29. SVEEP

The Election Commission of India's SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral
Participation) is a specialized program designed to systematically educate and motivate voters,

encouraging active participation in the electoral process.

The primary goal of SVEEP is to enhance voter awareness, promote informed decision-making,
and increase voter turnout during elections. Here are the key aspects of ECI's SVEEP.

Voter Education Campaigns: SVEEP conducts extensive voter education campaigns to

inform citizens about the importance of voting, their electoral rights, and the significance
of contributing to the democratic process.

Innovative Outreach Strategies: The program employs innovative and diverse outreach

strategies, including social media campaigns, interactive workshops, street plays, and
community engagement events. These approaches aim to reach a wide spectrum of the
population, including youth, women, and marginalized communities.

Special Drives for Voter Registration: SVEEP organizes special drives and camps to
facilitate the voter registration process. The focus is on reaching out to potential voters
who are not yet enrolled, ensuring a more inclusive electoral roll.
