General Elections 2019
The democratic ethos of India has ensured that the representation of women gets consistently
increased in the parliament. Both the national parties and state parties have been fielding
women candidates in general elections, out of which many of them have successfully entered
the lower house of parliament and have actively involved themselves in leadership role. Below
is the data of the women candidates who were fielded by national parties and state parties.
