To register, a PwD voter can choose any of these categories and submit Form 6 through online
registration, at a voter service centre, or through the Saksham ECI Application.

The Election Commission has undertaken several initiatives to facilitate the electoral
participation of persons with disabilities. Some of these interventions include:

• Mapping of PwDs Polling Stations: Identifying and marking polling stations catering
specifically to Persons with Disabilities.
• Ground-Floor Polling Stations: Ensuring that all polling stations are situated on the ground
floor for easy accessibility.

• PwD-Friendly Facilities under AMF: Implementing PwD-friendly facilities under the

Accessible India Campaign's Accessible Material for Elections (AMF) initiative.
• Separate Queue for PwDs: Providing a separate queue for Persons with Disabilities to
streamline the voting process.

• Optional Home Voting Facility: Introducing an optional home voting facility for those who
may find it challenging to visit polling stations.
• Voter EPICS/Slips in Braille: Ensuring that voter EPICs (Electors Photo Identity Cards) and

slips are available in Braille for those with visual impairments.
